Maker Margin

Know what goes into a price. Change the assumptions and see the breakdown.

One item. Your numbers.

A share of the selling price, after the entered costs and fees.
How the calculation works

Price = (materials + hours × hourly pay + packaging + overhead + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − percentage fee − target margin).

Both percentages are applied to the selling price. The fee and margin must add up to less than 100%. Labour is included as a cost allowance.

What this tells you

The result shows a price that covers your entered costs and target margin. It does not establish what customers will pay.

Taxes, shipping and any costs you have not entered are excluded. The remainder is not after-tax profit. This demo uses illustrative fees, not a particular platform’s current pricing.
